The biggest mistake is to treat SEO as a traffic channel disconnected from the buying journey. Search visibility, page experience and conversion need to be designed together.

Start with the reason behind the search

A user searching for a product category, a price, a nearby store or a comparison is not at the same stage. I separate informational queries from commercial and transactional ones, then decide which page should answer each need.

For a Moroccan B2C business, the strongest opportunities are often queries that combine a real product or service need with location, availability, price, delivery or trust.

Assume the journey is mobile-first

A page can rank well and still lose the customer if it loads slowly, hides the main offer, makes contact difficult or asks for too much information. I check the first screen, the call-to-action, product clarity, payment or delivery information and the path to WhatsApp or phone.

On e-commerce sites, category architecture matters because users frequently discover the range before they are ready to choose a specific product.

Measure actions, not only sessions

I want analytics to answer practical questions: which landing pages generate qualified visits, which pages lead to product views, form submissions, calls or checkout, and which queries create business value. Search Console and GA4 are useful only when they help make these decisions.

A practical B2C acquisition method

  1. Map the highest-value customer problems and buying intents.
  2. Create or improve the right category, product or service pages.
  3. Make the mobile page fast and immediately understandable.
  4. Add trust signals, delivery information, clear pricing logic and strong CTAs.
  5. Track Search Console queries and conversion events together.
  6. Use paid campaigns selectively when they can accelerate validated demand.

The goal is not more visits at any cost. It is more qualified visibility that can become revenue.
