On WordPress, plugins can create a false sense of security. A green SEO score does not tell you whether Google can find the right pages or whether those pages answer a real search intent.
1. Indexation and crawlability
I verify robots directives, noindex settings, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, status codes and Search Console coverage. A staging setting or a plugin rule can quietly keep important pages out of the index.
2. Page architecture and internal linking
Services, categories, articles and products need clear roles. I check whether important pages are reachable through internal links, whether multiple URLs compete for the same intent and whether WordPress archives create unnecessary duplication.
3. Performance and mobile experience
I review Core Web Vitals, image weight, scripts, caching and hosting constraints. The goal is not a perfect score; it is a fast, stable experience for real visitors and search crawlers.
4. Content quality and intent
Each strategic page should answer a distinct need. I look for thin service pages, generic product descriptions, weak headings, missing proof and content that exists only to target a keyword.
5. Measurement and business signals
An audit should end with priorities. I connect Search Console, GA4 and conversion events so the team can measure what changes after implementation.
My priority order
- Fix blocking technical issues.
- Clarify the architecture.
- Improve high-value pages already receiving impressions.
- Strengthen internal linking and evidence.
- Then expand content.
I can turn technical findings into a prioritised action plan.
