The safest redesign starts with an SEO inventory before the new design is finalised. You need to know which pages, queries and links already create value.
Inventory the current site
Export URLs, status codes, canonical tags, titles, organic traffic, Search Console queries and important backlinks. Identify high-value pages that should be preserved or intentionally consolidated.
Create a redirect map before launch
When a URL changes, map the old page to the closest relevant new page with a permanent redirect. Avoid sending every removed page to the homepage.
Check the technical launch
Verify robots, noindex directives, canonicals, sitemap, internal links, analytics, forms and mobile performance. A staging block accidentally left in production can destroy visibility quickly.
Monitor Search Console after migration
Watch indexing, crawl errors, impressions, clicks and important landing pages. Some fluctuation can happen, but unexplained drops should be investigated quickly.
I can review the migration plan before the new version replaces the current site.
